Silversea at Kusadasi: Your Party, One Guide

A 15-hour day, most of it yours

Every Silversea call we track at Kusadasi runs the same hours: Silver Nova arrives at 08:00 and does not sail until 23:00. That is close to 15 hours ashore, among the longest of any ship calling here, and far more than the 6 to 10 hours a mainstream ship typically gives its guests.

That much time changes the question from what fits in a hurry to what else there is time for. A full day at Ephesus with the Road of Paul and John or Marble, Mosaics and Artemis still leaves an afternoon and evening free, whether that means a slower lunch, more time in Kusadasi town, or simply resting before the late departure.

Whether your fare already covers a tour

Silversea's fares are not all the same. On a base fare, shore excursions are not part of what is included; on a higher fare tier, guests get a shore excursion credit toward a catalog of tours the line offers. Which tier you booked decides whether Ephesus is already paid for or not, so it is worth checking your own booking before you plan the day.

Either way, choosing a private day says nothing against Silversea's own tours. If your fare's excursion credit already covers a Kusadasi tour that fits what you want to see, that is a good day. Silver Nova, and who is aboard

Silver Nova is the only Silversea ship we have seen call at Kusadasi. Launched in 2023, it is Silversea's newest class and, notably, the first hybrid-powered luxury cruise ship, running on a combination of LNG, fuel cells and batteries. It carries about 728 guests, a fraction of a mainstream ship's passenger count, which means a smaller crowd moves through the port gate at once and a smaller group needs guiding on any given morning.

An evening in Kusadasi before you sail

A 23:00 departure is late enough for dinner ashore, not just a morning tour. Kusadasi's town center sits only a short walk from the pier, and the shops, cafes and carpet showrooms along the harbor front stay open well into the evening, worth a stop if your day has room for it.
