MSC calls here often, and an eight-hour day covers Ephesus with room to spare.
The short answer
MSC ships dock at Kusadasi's Ege Port; your guide waits right outside the terminal exit, and it takes about a minute to meet once you step out. Most calls run about eight hours, often a morning-to-afternoon window, though a few stretch later. Eight hours covers all of Ephesus plus the Terrace Houses; a shorter call still fits Just Ephesus alone, and the rare long call can add the House of the Virgin Mary.
What a typical MSC call looks like
MSC ships dock at Kusadasi's Ege Port pier along with everyone else, and most calls run around eight hours. The most common pattern in our schedule is a morning arrival and a midafternoon departure, though a handful of calls stretch into the evening, up to about 13 hours ashore on the longest ones.
Four ships have carried MSC guests into Kusadasi in our data: MSC Splendida, MSC Divina, MSC Explora 2 and MSC Fantasia. Whichever one you are on, the walk from the gangway to the terminal exit takes about the same few minutes, and your guide is waiting right outside, holding a sign with your name. See our meeting point page for the full walk, step by step.
Eight hours is enough for a full morning at Ephesus
An eight-hour call gives you real choices. Just Ephesus takes three to three and a half hours door to door, which leaves time to add lunch or a stop in Kusadasi afterward. Marble, Mosaics and Artemis, our tour into the Terrace Houses, takes about six hours door to door and fits calls of eight hours or more with time to spare, so it suits the middle of the MSC range rather than the shortest calls.
On calls of nine hours or more, common enough in MSC's schedule, there is room for The Road of Paul and John, which adds the House of the Virgin Mary and the Basilica of St. John to the day.

Language needs of MSC guests
MSC sails a broad European and international passenger base, and Italian, Spanish, French and German are common on board. Our guides work in all four, plus English, Portuguese and Russian, so you can ask for a tour in the language your group is most comfortable in.
If your MSC call runs short or late
A few MSC calls in our data start later in the morning or run into the evening. On those, All-Aboard Ephesus is built to flex: we plan the day backward from your ship's own all-aboard time, whatever hour that is, rather than from a fixed itinerary.
What to tell us when you inquire
Send us your ship name, the date and your all-aboard time through the inquiry form, along with your group size and preferred language. We reply within a day, usually sooner, and there is no prepayment to hold a place.

Questions cruise guests ask us
Where does MSC dock in Kusadasi?
At the same pier as every big ship, Kusadasi's Ege Port on the edge of town. MSC does not use a separate berth or a tender; you leave through the regular terminal exit, and your guide is waiting right there, holding a sign with your name. It takes about a minute to meet once you step out, whichever MSC ship you are on.
How many hours do MSC passengers get in Kusadasi?
About eight hours on most calls, based on our current schedule data, commonly a morning arrival and a midafternoon departure. A few MSC calls run longer, past midday into the evening. Eight hours is enough for Ephesus and the Terrace Houses together; shorter calls still fit Ephesus on its own.
Does MSC sell its own Ephesus excursions?
Yes, like most large cruise lines, MSC books its own paid shore excursions to Ephesus through the ship. That is a fine choice, especially if you would rather the ship plan the day. A private day with us adds a guide who works at your pace, and a vehicle just for your group.
Is Ephesus far from Kusadasi on an MSC call?
No. Ephesus sits about 18 to 20 kilometers from the pier, roughly 20 to 25 minutes by road on a normal morning, a little longer if several ships are in port together. Every one of our tours reaches Ephesus by the same road, whichever ship brought you in.
What if our MSC call is one of the shorter ones?
Short calls still work. Just Ephesus needs about three to three and a half hours door to door, so even a five or six hour call leaves room to see the ancient city properly and get back with time to spare before all-aboard.
Info Ephesus is an independent, TÜRSAB-licensed local operator. We are not affiliated with MSC; the name is used only to show which ships call at Kuşadası.
