Celestyal at Kusadasi: Short Calls, Early Starts

What a typical Celestyal call looks like

Celestyal Discovery and Celestyal Journey call at Kuşadası more often than any other line on our schedule, and most of those calls follow the same short pattern: in by about 07:00, gone again by early afternoon. Fifty-nine of the calls we have on the books run 07:00 to 13:00, and another eighteen run 07:00 to 12:00, so a five to six hour morning is the normal Celestyal day here.

A smaller group, twenty-seven calls, stay closer to ten hours, docking at 08:00 and sailing again around 18:00. If your ship's own program shows a late-afternoon departure, you likely have one of these longer days, and it changes what fits.

Discovery and Journey, and why the call is short

Discovery is the ship you are most likely to be on: it makes far more Kuşadası calls than Journey on our schedule. Both are part of a fleet built around short, island-hopping cruises through the Greek islands and along the Turkish coast, which is one reason the Kuşadası stop is usually brief rather than a full day.

Because most Celestyal calls are short, we plan the morning backward from your sailing time rather than trying to fit in everything the region offers.

Multi-ship mornings, when Celestyal is not alone

Celestyal Discovery shares the pier with other ships on several of the busiest mornings on our full-year schedule, alongside lines such as Celebrity and MSC and the smaller luxury and expedition ships that also favor an early Kuşadası call. On those mornings, Curetes Street and the Library of Celsus fill first, and starting early matters even more than usual.

The quiet months on Celestyal's schedule

Celestyal runs a near year-round program at Kuşadası, with calls most months from spring through early fall. Our schedule shows almost nothing in December and only a single call in January, so a Celestyal cruise in the depths of winter is less likely to include this port than one sailing between March and October.

What to tell us when you inquire

Send us your ship, Discovery or Journey, along with the arrival and all-aboard times from your own daily program. On a short Celestyal morning, Just Ephesus is usually the tour that fits. On one of the longer days, there is time to add the Terrace Houses or the House of the Virgin Mary, as in Marble, Mosaics and Artemis or The Road of Paul and John. Either way, we plan the day backward from your all-aboard time and reply through our inquiry form within 24 hours.
