Oceania's calls at Kusadasi are few and land in a short early-summer window, on a line that is moving toward an adults-only fleet and leans heavily into food.

The short answer

Oceania's ships dock alongside at Kusadasi, most often from about 07:00 to 17:00, with nine to ten hours ashore on most of the calls we track. That is enough time for a full private day: our Road of Paul and John or Marble, Mosaics and Artemis tours both fit comfortably, with a proper lunch built into the plan rather than left out.

A brief window, not a year-round presence

Oceania calls at Kusadasi only six times in the season we track, and every one of those calls falls between mid-May and the end of July 2027. If your cruise is at another time of year, an Oceania stop here is unlikely; if it lands in that window, the port sees this line at its only busy stretch, with June carrying most of the calls.

Hours ashore run close to nine or ten hours on most of those calls, arriving as early as 07:00 on some sailings and closer to 09:00 or 10:00 on others. Either way, that is a genuinely full day rather than a squeeze.

Oceania is becoming an adults-only line

Starting with reservations made from January 7, 2026, Oceania is moving to an adults-only, 18-and-over fleet; guests who booked with children before that date are still welcome as booked. If you are planning a Kusadasi day around an Oceania sailing, it is worth knowing your fellow passengers ashore will mostly be adult couples and friends rather than families.

None of our own tours are age-restricted, so this changes nothing about how we plan your day, only what to expect from the crowd around you.

The ships you might be on

Oceania Sirena, an R-class ship from 1999 carrying under 700 guests, has called here most often among the three ships we track. Oceania Nautica, a sister ship of the same size and era, is being redesigned and renamed Oceania Aurelia later in 2027, so you may see either name depending on when you sail. Oceania Vista, the newer and considerably larger of the three at about 1,200 guests, calls here too.

All dock alongside at Kusadasi's pier, the same berths every ship uses. A smaller, older ship like Sirena or Nautica lands fewer passengers at once than Vista does, which can mean a gentler start to the walk out of the terminal.

A line that leans into food and wine

Oceania markets itself heavily around food, with onboard culinary programs and shore excursions built around cooking and tasting rather than only sightseeing. Its own Kusadasi excursion list includes wine- and meal-themed outings alongside the standard Ephesus tour.

Our private tours don't include a meal by default, but lunch is easy to add and vegetarian, vegan or halal needs are simple to arrange; see our lunch on a port day page for how that works.
